I just have to say that Robin in short pants or long pants doesn’t matter to me. Long pants are far more practical for a costume design. I was a fan of putting Wonder Woman in pants when the New 52 was announced too.
Dick on the Bludhaven police force, for me, harkens back the the Pre-Crisis Eatrh-Two Bruce Wayne becoming the commissioner of the Gotham police department before his death.
Being an old school Wolfman/Perez New Teen Titans fan, any time we get some discussion on the relationship between Dick and Bruce it is a good issue for me. Having Batman say Nightwing is better than him at the hero thing puts a cap on the whole story of Dick wanting to move out from Batman’s shadow.
