Where was high school teacher and recovering vigilante, Helena Bertinelli at 7:03PM when the verybadthing happened? Today we’re going to find out! We also discuss Chuck Dixon deftly flipping the script on the Bat vs. Man-ness of Bruce Wayne!
Plus: Our first dip into the N–MaiLbag… which, uh, don’t say that out loud.
The whole Batman in the underground river is my strongest memory of the beginning of this storyline. That was what I remembered going in and it holds true.
The Huntress scene, with 25 years of hindsight, really sets up her journey over the next few years. No spoilers from me though.
I would have loved to have seen the editorial flow charts for what happened when and in what book. I’m interested to see if certain supporting characters stick to specific titles and creative teams. Or if this was one comprehensive plot and whatever chapter fell in whatever title was just happenstance.
Original letters pages are essential to any reprints. Reading the comments of the first 10 episodes of this project convinced me to tune in and listen. I needed to be in on those conversations.
