And now for something completely different!  It’s (already?) time to venture outside of No Man’s Land… so, our hero JPV can try and track down… ugh… Nicholas Scratch.  A story too monumentally large to be contained in one single issue!

  • I think I owned this and read it back in the day, but as with all things Azrael and Nicholas Scratch, I don’t remember any of this. I didn’t even remember that Azrael wore another costume other than the original.

I’m a little confused on when this actually takes place. Did Batman go see Jean-Paul before returning to Gotham, or did he leave Gotham after taking down Scarface to go see Jean-Paul and then go back? And Nick Scratch appears to be in a quake damaged building. Is he in Gotham after it became a No Man’s Land? Since No Man’s Land has been going on for 3 months before Batman returned, has Scratch just been sitting around all that time. This feels like it should have been a part of the road to No Man’s Land and not No Man’s Land proper.
