It’s “hump day” for the (bordering on false-advertising) Trial of Magneto… and you all know what that means – it’s time for a pointless fight to take up two-thirds of the issue!

Yes, folks – while we wonder what’s going on with Wanda… and whether or not Magneto will be held responsible, the X-Men and Avengers team-up to fight off… giant kaiju monsters?  Oh… okay.

In addition to the story, we will touch briefly on the concept of the Triple Goddess concept from Neopaganism — which might just be where this story will be headed once we get ridda Godzilla and Pals.

Plus – Mailbag, Shout-Outs, and news and hot-takes over whatever “Destiny of X” is going to be!

  • History, doth thou repeat thyself? I remember being a young lad when Marvel thought it was a great idea to make Tony Stark a bad guy during Civil War and then doubled down on it for the next several years while a movie came out and it starred Iron Man and did gangbusters and a sequel was made so before that sequel hit theaters they had Tony Stark dying and the only way to bring him back with Cap, Strange, and Thor’s help was to restore an old back up copy of his mind from before the Civil War storyline. If it’s good enough for Tony, I guess, then it’s good enough for Wanda! Weirdly, from what I understand since I didn’t read the comics, Marvel decided it was a great idea to dig themselves in the same hole with Carol Danvers in Civil War 2.
Oh hang on! History is whispering something and I can just b-a-r-e-l-y make it out… History just told me that a respite would be much appreciated from heroes throwing away their established personal and shared histories solely so they can fight other heroes they’ve known and loved for years. I don’t know, History, that sounds like kind of a kooky idea for the ‘ol House of Idea.
