The Father and Child Re-oo-oo-niun… is only a mutant away-ay.

Today we hang out with the Shaws… Sebastian and Shinobi, as they (maybe?) attempt to put aside their differences and work together for the betterment of mutantkind… or, the financial milking of humankind.

Also: I wax nostalgic over Shinobi’s old running buddies: the Upstarts, Bill Jemas’ failed EPIC Comics relaunch (announced in Marville), and trawlin’ Mall Cons looking for the early issues of X-Factor!

  1. A great issue of Marauders. Gerry Duggan is doing a good job of showing how bad Shaw is. I joked in my feedback on Marauders 2 that Shaw is a loser but he actually gets creepier and creepier as the series continues.

As for Shinobi I remember reading his first appearance in X-Factor and being intrigued by him but feeling like he was underused in the Upstarts storyline which felt more focused on Fenris and Fitzroy. It didn't help that the Upstarts first storyline killed the Hellions who I loved.
