How do you solve a problem like Candra?  Or, the rest of the Externals for that matter?  Welp, ya do a little literal soul-searching… I think.

This is a confusing one, gang – I think I’m falling prey to the “Otherworld Effect”… save yourselves!

I've mentioned before that I have read the entire Ecchs of Tens crossover but skipped a lot of the lead in, this issue reads better if you have already read Ecchs of Tens but still doesn't really work. Basically it exists to create the External gate which is a key element of the crossover and that is it's only purpose. I'll be honest it never occurred to me that the External gate was made out of the actual Externals and that was a bit of a surprise but this issue is a bit pointless.

Am I right in thinking that Ecchs of Tens was initially meant to happen earlier? I feel like the last few issues of Excalibur are padding to hold off the start of Ecchs of Tens.

I know we don't always agree but I genuinely think you will prefer Ecchs of Tens to this issue. It does vary in quality but is generally good and I would rate the Excalibur issues as some of the best.

You're right about Saturnyne looking like Emma Frost. If you think it's bad now wait until you read Creation.

Until I become Captain Britain- Make Mine X-Lapsed!
