The penultimate of Paradise Lost brushes with greatness when we almost get a very special exchange between Juggernaut and Professor X.  Also, Deadpool gets squished a whole bunch.

Meanwhile, Life of Wolverine meanders on… straddling the line between being an illustrated (and incomplete) Wikipedia entry, and an actual story.  It’s trying to be both, but succeeding at neither!  We’ll stick with it, however, and hope for the best!

  • Outside of characters that are problematic for real world reasons like bigotry or misogyny, Romulus might be my least favorite comic character. He’s boring. His existence diminishes a character I like and makes that character and his history less interesting. He looks dumb. His abilities and origin are uninspired. And he’s the introduction of the idea that Logan, Creed, Feral, Thornn, etc. descended from a race of cavewolves or something. Instead of things like Magneto not being your real pop, how about we spend some of that retcon energy on Draco being Nightcrawler’s dad, Norman Osborn sleeping with Gwen Stacy, and Romulus being involved in Wolverine’s history.
