Today’s episode is a very special one, as I’m joined by my great pal Walt (@waltkneeland) to discuss Way of X Number Si….err, X-Men: The Onslaught Revelation #1!  We’ll share some of our experiences with the character, go deep on the issue itself, and discuss whether or not it was everything we hoped for when it was solicited!

Huge thanks to Walt for hangin’ out!  If anyone listening wants to pop on as a special “tour guide” for a future show, please let me know!

  • Why didn't they save the Onslaught return for something big that would excite fans? This is like if 20 years later the Sex Pistols were reported to be releasing a second album and it turned out to be an EP of smooth jazz fusion remixes of Kenny Loggins songs. What was the point? Anyway, I can't remember now which character mentioned in this episode made me think of it but, in a spectacularly unrelated note, am I correct in remembering that Spiral massacred an entire alternate earth and, presumably because it was an alternate earth with alternate people, never paid any ramifications for it and in fact was invited to join the X-Men later on? I think it was a Longshot or Shatterstar trade in a discount stack that I flipped through so maybe I missed an important detail but it was clearly the 616 Spiral. I mention it because it fits the current era of X-Men going with the flow and rarely questioning anything, but also because it's a bit insane. Also, I know you don't see the movies, but I was wondering if it irks anyone else when the movies or shows refer to themselves as being the 616 universe? Have a smashing good rest of your weekend!
