Today we wrap up our post-EcksofTens/pre-Reign of X trip off the beaten path with our titular hero being put on trial for something that happened about 40 years ago! This is a callback to the two-part “Nothing Can Stop the Juggernaut” story from Amazing Spider-Man #229-230 (June-July, 1982).
Also, we talk a bit too much about quicksand…

After X of Tens we really couldn't have a more different experience than reading Juggernaut 3 & 4. This felt like such a step back in time. Fabian Nicieza builds and builds and builds the story just like he did back in the 90s. He was always someone who wrote every project as though it would never end. Very Claremontian.
Ron Garney was also superb. He just brings the quality. I was a little disappointed with the colouring, though, everything was a little too murky.
Overall it's a great little series that gets the 90s nostalgia without looking or feeling like a period piece.
