The summons has been made… the call to arms is in effect, and so — we join a pair of Boys Wonder as they traverse the dank sewers in order to make their return to No Man’s Land. Along the way, they’re bound to run in with a geek or two… maybe even one of… ugh, Nick Scratch’s goofs!

For some reason this issue is in the unabridged collections from years ago and the current omnibus in the wrong spot. They placed it after robin and nightwing were already back in gotham. You would think someone would have fixed this by now. But most of the new collections are out of the order we are following anyways. I think the collections were either put in release date order or something other than story order.
Otisburg made me laugh. It’s an Easter Egg from the first Superman movie that only the really old fans would get. But it does drop a breadcrumb for the eventual end the whole No Man’s Land story.
I have always liked the brothers dynamic between Dick and Tim. It reminds me of the interactions between Pre-Crisis Jason Todd and Dick Grayson.
The level of difficulty Tim And Dick had to get back into Gotham seemed extreme compared how easy it was for Azrael to make it into No Man’s Land. And let’s face it a lot of people have made it back into Gotham. Cain, Nick Scratch, Young Justice, Superman, Azrael and the old lady with the daughter she wanted to save and shoot at the same time. Gotham is becoming the vacation destination for 1999.
