From Feast to Famine… and back to Feast again!
The sophomore volume of Hickman’s flagship is… uneven. It starts off amazingly strong, with one of the seminal stories of this entire era, and the source for many of our podcast discussions… the introduction of the Crucible!
From there, he wastes a bunch of our time with the Brood, a “funny, ha-ha” with Broo eating an Egg, a Deadly Genesis continuity error that breaks one of the ONLY rules associated with the Resurrection Protocols… then Empyre cash-ins! At least ONE of those Empyre cash-ins was fun to read!
This is an interesting assortment… I’ve often wondered how folks who ONLY read the flagship were “receiving” this new era — here’s a chance to find out!
