Well that was a load of fun creepiness.
This issue starts with a great scene recapping the Hellions's unseen adventures. It would have been so easy to cover this with an info page but Wells cleverly uses the recap to reflect character.
The Amenthi villains were really repulsive and Sinister's true purpose was both obvious and surprising. I loved the final twist of Sinister killing everyone so that no one knows about his DNA collecting.
By the way, I wouldn't worry about the return of Apoth. My understanding is that Kwannon gave the remains of Apoth to Sinister for him to separate her daughter from Apoth so if he achieves it there is no more Apoth. I do wonder how long Kwannon will give Sinister to fix her daughter. I don't imagine she will be too patient.
