Chris and Reggie’s Cosmic Treadmill, Episode 52 – Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part Three

Chris and Reggie’s Cosmic Treadmill, Episode #52

Crisis on Infinite Earths, Part Three of Five

  • Crisis on Infinite Earths #6 (September, 1985)
  • Crisis on Infinite Earths #7 (October, 1985)
  • Crisis on Infinite Earths #8 (November, 1985)
    • Marv Wolfman & George Perez
Today we’re revisiting the episode with those issues of Crisis folks seem to care most about… featuring the deaths of Supergirl and Barry Allen!

Anytime I think about this episode… I have some regrets as it really should’ve been longer.  We didn’t consider it until after the fact, but we really should have included deeper dives on the lives and times of both Supergirl and the Barry Allen Flash.  Kick myself every time I think of missing that, in hindsight, obvious oversight.

We still go deep on the trio of issues… and, as is custom, give bios and histories for each and every DC character to show up on panel!

The more you know about the pre-crisis DC Universe the more impactful this series is. If you re-read it after learning more DC history it changes your experience in reading it.

Seriously, you need to take these transcripts and turn them into a book. NO one, and I mean absolutely no one, has ever gone this in depth with all the crossovers and character history. Well at least not since Marv Wolfman.
